Another fruitful year has passed at Get My Parking – let’s take a look at what we’ve been up to in 2021!
This year, we expanded our reach across the globe, securing our first customers in Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Australia. We launched new products in the US and Europe – GMP Permit, a permit management solution, and GMP QR, which enables app-less cashless parking payments using QR codes, both had highly successful deployments in these locations.
In February, we collaborated with Mercedes Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) to provide a better digital parking experience for their parkers. We also acquired Mobilytics, an EV startup that enables battery-as-a-service applications for parking lots.
We raised $6 Million in May in a fundraise led by IvyCap Ventures and existing investor IAN Fund. The new funds are being used to scale our IoT platform and to extend our footprint in international markets. A partial secondary sale for the vested ESOPs of current as well as former employees was announced after the fundraiser.
We have also been hiring and expanding our team and welcomed our hundredth employee!
We actively participated in parking events this year, showcasing our products at the NPA Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, and at the IPMI Parking and Mobility Conference and Expo in Tampa, Florida.
