Welcome Melinda Alonzo, PTMP: Driving Customer Success & Campus Mobility for North America
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news. Today, on January 20, 2026, we’re welcoming Melinda Alonzo, PTMP, as Executive Director of Customer Success & Campus Mobility, North America.
Universities and parking operators need technology partners who understand operational execution and think about long-term growth. That’s exactly where Melinda comes in. She’ll deepen customer relationships while building out a dedicated Campus Mobility Vertical that serves higher education institutions nationwide.
Here’s the thing about Melinda: she’s not new to parking and mobility. She brings 30 years of experience in parking, transportation, and mobility. Her career is basically a masterclass in operational excellence, managing everything from private commercial properties to multi-campus university systems. That hands-on experience gives her deep knowledge of what operators and institutions actually need to succeed.
A Career Built on Operational Excellence
Melinda’s journey started in the private sector, where she built a strong operational foundation supporting commercial properties in a rapidly growing urban market. There, she tackled evolving land use, tenant expectations, and infrastructure constraints with practical solutions.
Then she spent several years at Arizona State University, where she really made her mark. She managed and modernized parking and transportation operations across four campuses during a period of significant growth. As Senior Director of Parking and Transit Services, she oversaw 26,000 parking spaces, a 25-vehicle fleet, and transportation services supporting more than 90,000 students.
Most recently, Melinda worked at Georgia Tech as Senior Director of Parking and Transportation, leading multimodal mobility programs for a major research university. Throughout her career, people recognized her for championing technology improvements, optimizing workflows, and leading high-performing teams.
And here’s where it gets even better. In 2016, IPMI named her Parking Professional of the Year. Then, in 2017, IPMI awarded the Arizona State University parking program Parking Organization of the Year under her leadership. These aren’t just nice awards; they reflect both individual excellence and organizational leadership at scale.
What This Means for Get My Parking
Melinda’s appointment reflects our belief that customer success and operational execution go hand in hand. In her role, she’ll support adoption, retention, and expansion across our customer base, working closely with internal product and key account management teams to ensure our solutions deliver real, measurable results.
Beyond that, she’ll drive our Campus Mobility Vertical, a strategic initiative recognizing that universities are among the most complex mobility environments out there.

“What matters most to operators and campuses is protecting what already works while getting ready for what’s next,” Melinda explained. “Get My Parking lets clients modernize by building on the technology they already have, minimizing disruption, and being thoughtful about capital. That leads to better operations and outcomes, and better experiences for the people who use these facilities every day.”
“Melinda brings exactly the kind of operational credibility and execution mindset this role requires,” said Joe Mollish, Vice President, Customer Success, North America. “She understands what it takes to deliver results for private operators and complex institutions alike. Her leadership strengthens our Customer Success organization while accelerating the expansion of a University Mobility Vertical built for real-world execution.”

Chirag Jain, CEO of Get My Parking, added, “Universities represent one of the most complex and dynamic mobility environments in the market. Melinda’s experience, leadership style, and standing across the higher-education and operator communities alike make her uniquely qualified to help GMP become the trusted mobility platform for campuses worldwide without losing sight of the operational rigor our operator clients expect.”
